Idli-Podi it’s my mother-in -laws version… my mom, mother-in-law will do idli podi, and other spice masala in home preparation though in their busy schedule.. they’ll do for us( Me and my sister- in- law), Now i got the Perfect recipe for idli podi and it comes full flavorful version… Spicy Masala powder.. Goes well with the Idli/Dosa by mixing this Podi in oil….
Here im giving you the ratio for large quantity well i’ll prepare in less quantity and often i’ll make for the full flavour…. u can reduce/increase the quantity
Urdu dhal- 250gms
Channa dhal- 250 gms
Red chilie- 400gms(you can use upto 500gms depend on ur spice level)
Here is the ingredients which i did for 1 cup ratio
Heat the pan in high and adjust to medium flame Start frying the dhal one by one.. nearly it take more than 10 mins to roast 1 item..
See here the chana dhal color had changed
Fry the urdu dhal and keep away
Add in the curry leaves
Careful do not burn the chillie
Add in the Garlic and hing.. make all the ingredients to cool
Start grind the mixture
It’s done.. slowly open the mixer
