Parupu Vadai/Dhal Fritters

Parupu vadai are our all time tea favorite.. these crispy dhal fritters, are very nice for Rainy days … can be a starer at any time for breakfast….dinner. we used to dip the leftover vadai in Rasam.. which is called Rasa vadai famous in our side… some will use sombu/fennel in vadai if you like the flavor can use sombu also…

This post is for BM#27 Week 4 Day 5…
Preparation time- 3 hours
Cooking Time- 10 mins
Serves- 5-6
To grind:
Thoor dhal-  1 cup
Channa dhal- 1 cup
Red chillie- 6-7
Curry leaves
Turmeric- 1/2 tsp
Hing- 1 tsp
Onion- 1(Finely chopped)
Green chillie- 1(Finely chopped)
Coriander Leaves- 2 tsp
Soak channa dhal and thoor dhall for 2- 3 hours

Combine all the ingredients under the table in a mixer.. and grind them coarsely…

Mix the onion, green chilli, coriander leaves to the grinded mix and Make even sized balls
Heat the kadai with oil make patties with the balls and deep fry the vadai
