Peas Aloo curry is an yummy combo of curry which can be the best part for Roti’s , Dosa even for Rice too.. Which i do this curry often in Peas season…

This post is for BM#27 week 4 Day 4… The Richness of coconut and cashew serves you the south Indian flavor.. 

Preparation time- 10 mins
Cooking Time- 25 mins
Serves- 4-5

Ingredients:
Green peas – 1 1/2 cups (Fresh)
Potato- 2 big (Cubed)
Onion- 1 cup (Finely chopped)
Tomato- 1 (Chopped)
Oil
Salt

For Grinding:
Coconut- 1/2 cup
Cashew nuts- 4-5
Sombu/Fennel- 1 tsp
Green chillie- 1
Tomato-1 (optional)

Masala:
Chilli powder- 1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1 tsp
Jeera powder- 1/2 tsp
Graham masala- 1/2 tsp
Chicken masala- 1 tsp (Optional) I Used Sakthi chicken masala
Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp


Preparation:

* I used fresh green peas, if you use the frozen one then soak them in water for 4-6 hours

* Boil the potatoes and peas for 2 whistles with some salt.

* Make the masala paste with the ingredients under the table for grinding

Here is ingredients for grinding.. grind them to smooth paste
Heat the kadai with oil and saute the onions for few mins
Add the tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes get mashy
Add in the grind-ed masala and masala powders… cook them with 1/2 cup of water for 10-15 mins in medium flame
Add the Boiled potatoes and peas
Cook them for another 5 mins
