Cow peas are common in South Tamil nadu, Such an tasty Veg it’s..  Highly protein packed vegetable… In tamil we call this as Thattai Payaru or Karamani…

Can be a best part with any type of South indian Curry…. in the same way Carrot, French beans, Cluster bean, Cabbage,… can be done…. This fry was known by Thoran in South Tamil nadu….

Ingredients:
Cow
Pea- ΒΌ kg
Onion-
1
Turmeric powder
For
Grinding:
Coconut-
1/2 cup
Cillie-
1
Pearl
onion- 3-4
Curry
leaf
Jeera
– 1 tsp
Temper
Oil-
2 tsp
Mustard-
1 tsp
Urad
dhal- 1 tsp

 
Cow Pea/ Thattai Payaru
Discard both the ends and chop them 
Coconut, Onion, Curry leaves, Jeera, Green Chillie

Grind the ingredients
Heat the Kadai with oil, Temper them with Mustard, Urad dhal
Saute the onion and curry leaves for few mins
Add the chopped cow pea, fry them in medium flame for few mins, just sprinkle 1/4 cup of water over the Cow pea
Add the grinded masala
Add 1/4 tsp of turmeric powder and cook till it done

Absolutely great dish…
