Tender Jackfruit Curry

Tender Jackfruit curry, and this is the first time i cook all the jackfruit dishes, this one is a simple and tempting curry..
My picture was not so good and i say sorry for this,  soon i replace it with a good quality picture, this spicy curry goes well with rasam and garlic theyal.. Got this from our vacation trip. for this curry jackfruit should tender and fresh.. cleaning jackfruit is a tedious job.. well i start my post with cleaning the jackfruit, lets go to the recipe, and do try and let me know how it turns for you..

Preparation time- 30 mins
Cooking Time- 20 mins
Serves- 2 

Jackfruit- 1/4 kg
Turmeric powder- 1/4 tsp

To temper:
Coconut oil- 3 tsp
Mustard-1/2 tsp
Urad dhal- 1/2 tsp

To Grind:
Coconut- 1/2 cup
Coriander seeds- 1 tsp
Red chillie- 2 nos
Jeera- 1/2 tsp
Garlic- 2 pods
Pepper- 3/4 tsp


* Cut the wedges  from the jackfruit, cut them to two pieces, as shown below..

* Peel of the Skin and Chop them to bit sized pieces, put them in water to retain its color..

*Take the cleaned jackfruit in a Pressure Cooker with turmeric powder and Salt, cook this for 2 whistles.. drain out the water and keep them aside, i used my colander to drain it..

* Take Coconut, Pepper, Coriander seeds, Garlic, Redchillie, and Jeera in a mixer and grind, heat the kadai with coconut oil..

* Temper it with Mustard and urad dhal, Add in the cooked jackfruit and Curry leaves to the kadai..

* Add in the Grind-ed masala and saute till the raw smell goes off.. if need sprinkle with water and cook till they dry..

All done..
