 Crab Roast Country Style/Nadan Nandu Varuval, Seafood are my most favorite one which i put top in prior in the restaurants, This nadan nandu roast is a yummy dish, Crab has a great effect to remove the toxins form the body..

It’s a bit difficult to clean and eat, but don’t know why i love this much.. if there is crab curry or crab dish.. i fill my plates with crab alone.. Nadan curry or nadan recipe are the kerala cusines, blended with loads of flavors and spices in the dishes, when hearing the name nadan itself sometime the dish will attract much more.. no doubt in this special crab roast too.. sounds spicy and delicious roast. Crab Roast Country Style/Nadan Nandu Varuval

Prep Time: 10 mins    |  Cook time: 30 mins    |  Serves: 2

Ingredients

Crab 500 gms
Oil 2 tsp
Fennel Seeds/Perunjeeragam 1 tsp
Jeera/Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
Salt as needed
Curry Leaves 1 spring
Coconut milk(Thick) 1 cup

Ingredients to Grind

Pearl Onion 1/2 cup
Garlic 3-4 pods
Ginger 1 inch
Tomato 2 small
Chillie Powder 1 tsp
Coriander Powder/Mali pod 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Graham masala Powder/Curry Masala 1/2 tsp
Fennel seeds/Perrunjeeragam 1 tsp
Coriander leaves/Cilantro 15 leaves(only leaves)
Mint Leaves/Puthina 15 leaves(only leaves)

Method

 1. Take all the ingredients under the grind table and grind it smoothly in a blender, Heat a pan with oil, temper with feenel seeds/Perrujeeragam and jeera..

 2. Wash and clean the Crab, i usually separate the legs, set them aside.. Add in the Masala paste Cover and cook this for 10-12 mins in medium flame.. Add salt and cook till they shrink and separates the oil

 3. Add in the Cleaned crab to the pan, mix with the masala paste, cover with a lid and cook till the color change.. it take 5-6 mins in medium flame..

 4. Add in the Coconut milk, again cover and cook till boil well..stir in between..

 5. Cook till the masala get a dry look, finally add some curry leaves, cover the pan and switch off the flame..

Notes

    • Adjust the Spices to your taste buds.
    • If you add more masala, you’ll get some more gravy..
    • And its a roast so completely make the dish to dry.. if  you like to have some curry or grave keep some masala and switch off the flame once you get the desired amount of gravy..
