Aval Upma, Mom do this often in home for evening snacks or sometimes she do this for our lazy morning breakfast.. this can be done with in a jiffy, but i never tried this after my marriage.. often i ask her the recipe and miss somewhere, not all I’m not a big fan of Poha/Aval..
Though i always keep a box of aval/poha in my pantry as a life saver to sake at the need.. and the times knocks to try, as i forced myself to run a continuous posting here.. i need a easy varieties with good stuff.. suddenly this came first to my mind and again i pinged my mom for recipe.. she explained with patience, and the next moment I’m in the mission to try this platter.. just blamed myself how i miss to share this such a easy and tasty recipe here.. this is really a amazing easy stuff to give a try in a running out of time. over all time consumes 10 mins to prepare this bowl, can be served with sugar crystal and banana.. i love this sweet combo a lot.. and this is my “Day 27 of B365″

Prep Time: 10 mins | Cook time: 10 mins | Serves: 2
||1 handful or 3-4 tsp
||1/2 cup chopped
|Ginger Garlic paste
Measure a cup of poha/Aval in a mixing bowl
Wash and Add some water to it.. let it sit for 3 mins don’t keep the soaked aval more than 3 mins..
Drain the water using a colander.. let them sit aside..
These are the ingredients to temper the upma..
Heat a pan with coconut oil/vegetable oil and add the tempering items one by one except the green chillies and fry for few mins till they done..
Add in the Chopped Onion..
Add int he Green chilies and Curry leaves to the pan..
Add ginger Garlic paste and fry till the raw smell moves up.. Add some salt too..
After 5-8 mins see the drained poha/aval.. they bubble in size, and looks soft in texture..
Add the Soaked poha/aval to the pan and give good mix.. check for salt if need, sprinkle some salt and give a mix..
Finally garnish with coconut
Give a good mix and serve hot..
