Prawn Curry


Prawn curry, always had a warm welcome in home.. have tried so many dishes in prawn, this one is something special with coconut flavour.. Prawn is one of the favourite seafood in home.. every time need a special recipe to tickle each ones taste buds..
Usually i do this curry to pair with roti or chappathi, they serves a best combo.. and I’m sorry for the poor photographs, these were taken in night light, my days were super busy with my kid and guest’s.. hope this post helps you guys to know about a simple curry, And this is my “Day 34 of B365”
Prawn Curry

Ingredients
Prawn | 250 gms |
Chilly Powder | 1 tsp |
Coriander Powder | 1 tsp |
Gharam masala | 1/2 tsp |
Turmeric powder | 1/4 tsp |
Salt | to taste |
Lime juice | 1 tsp |
Oil | 2 tsp |
Onion | 1/2 cup |
Garlic | 3 tsp chopped |
Curry Leaves | 2-3 springs |
Tomato | 2 nos |
Ginger Garlic Paste | 1 tsp |
Pepper Powder | 3/4 tsp |
Coriander Leaves | 2 spring |
Ingredients to grind
Coconut | 1/4 cup |
Fennel Seeds | 1 tsp |
Method
Devein the Prawn, wash and clean the Prawns and set aside..

Take the chilly powder, Coriander powder, turmeric powder, graham masala, salt to the mixing bowl along with the cleaned prawn..

Add the lime juice..

Mix them well and marinate this for 30 mins..

In the mean time grind the masala

Chop the onion and garlic and set aside.

Heat a pan with oil, saute the Onion till they turn transparent..

Add in the garlic and fry them

and a handful of curry leaves.

Add in the chopped tomatoes, ginger garlic paste..

Cover and cook the tomatoes get mushed well..

Add in the marinated prawns..

Cover and cook this for few mins,

Add in the pepper powder and again cover this and cook for few more mins

Add in the Grounded paste

Brig this to boil in medium high flame..

Once they done you can see the oil separates on the top.. all done and serve this curry with Roti, Idli,Dosa or with hot steamed rice.
