This sweet filled banana are the most delicious recipe from south.. one banana is more than enough to fill the tummy.. only Tea Shop Pazham Nirachathu had a unique taste.. as they do this daily they had the practice of making this in a Jiff..
If you are trying for the first time, then it looks like a tedious job.. but not at all a tough one to handle.. Deep fried Snack are strictly restricted in our home, once in a while i do these kind of stuffs for a change, when i was doing this recipe, my maid was around and questioning about this recipe.. i was little disturbed while making and there i did a mistake, my batter is quite runny, it should not runny like mine.. so carefully prepare the batter, follow the Pazha appam(banana fritters) recipe instruction too..This is my 68th post..
|Nenthra Pazham||5-6 nos|
|Sugar||4-6 tsp + 1 tsp|
|Salt||to taste(for batter)|
|Baking Soda||a pinch|
|Turmeric Powder||1/4 tsp|
|Oil||1/2 cup to deep fry|
Take Aval/Poha in a mixing bowl, add some water and soak this for 10 mins
Drain out the water, add sugar and coconut to the mixing bowl..
Use a spoon to mix them, give a even mix all around..
Now take the flour, Salt, Sugar(1 tsp), Baking soda in another mixing bowl..
add enough water and mix them well, add some baking soda and turmeric powder, again give a good mix..
Take good ripped banana
Peel them and slit the centre like this, i removed a small part from the banana and i fried them separately like pazha appam
Fill ou the filling use a spoon and stuff them well.
As shown in the below picture dip the banana upwards in the batter.
use a spoon and dip them completely without twisting the banana, sometime the filling may come out, so careful in handle while giving the batter bath..
Drop the banana into the hot oil.. (don’t keep the flame in ,medium low, oil will be absorbed..
Flip them and cook all the sides of the banana,,
Serve them hot in tea time..
