 Sprouts Tomato Rice, Again with a diet recipe..last time when i make sprouts in home, was confused a bit to choose the recipe.. and tried this Sprouted tomato rice.. For diet people this will be a delicious Treat..
And those who have some special taste buds, will feel a bit down with this recipe.. any how this is such a healthy platter rite,Taking sprouts in diet  is a healthy habit, more bored and tired with sprouts salad, try this for a variation.. Sprouts Tomato Rice

Prep Time: 12 hrs | Cook time: 30-40 mins | Serves: 2

Ingredients

Green Moong Sprouts 1/4 cup
Cooked Rice 1 cup
Oil 2 tsp
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Urad Dhal 1/2 tsp
Channa Dhal 1/2 tsp
Onion 1 large
Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tsp
Green Chilly 2 nos
Curry Leaves 2 spring
Tomato 2 nos(medium)
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Red Chillie Powder 1/2 tsp
Graham masala 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Coriander Leaves 2 springs for garnishing

 

Method

Here i start form  the sprouts recipe, wash and soak the green gram

They will double in size once they soaked well, it take almost 4-6 hours to make them soft and puffy.

Drain out the water, Put the Soaked Green gram in the Hot pot, cover this and let them sit for another 4-6 hours till they sprouts out..

Here is my sprouts, i Kept almost 12 hours for Sprouting

Now start to steam the Sprouted Green gram in a Steamer..

Steam it till the become soft

Heat a pan with oil, temper with mustard and urad dhal..

Throw in the Channa dhal and fry this for a while.. and saute the onions for few mins..

Add int he curry leaves and chillies..

Followed by Ginger Garlic paste..

And the main ingredient, steamed dhal..

Add in the Chopped tomatoes..

Cook till they Tomatoes should mushed well..

Add in the Turmeric powder, Graham masala, and chilly powder. saute this for a while, and cook till the raw smell moves out..

Pressure cook the Rice, wait to release the Pressure and keep the cooked rice ready.. fluff them using a forks..

Add the cooked rice to the Pan..

Give a good mix and Garnish with Coriander leaves..
