Karadayan Nombu adai/Karadaiyan Nombu Adai, this Kozhukattai is meant to have in Fasting days.. recently i tries this for our breakfast menu.. A kind od filling Adai.. Have seen in most of the pages.
But after trying this ada, this is absolutely delicious.. Kozhukattai is a south Indian Special variety, so many variations in kozhukattai, each had unique, different taste.. i don’t have more idea about the Nombu, but this is a must try recipe, can have in Breakfast or for tea time.. And this is my 88th Continuous post..

Ingredients
Rice Flour/Idiyappa mauve | 1 cup |
Cow Peas/Thattai Payaru | 1/4 cup |
Oil | 2 tsp |
Mustard | 1/2 tsp |
Green chillies | 1 nos |
Curry Leaves | 1 spring |
Salt | to taste |
Coconut | a handful |
Hing | 1/4 tsp |
Method
Soak the Cow peas for 2-3 hours

Pressure cook this for 2 whistles

Heat a pan with oil, Temper with Mustard, Urad dhal..

Add in the Chopped green chillies

add in the boiled cow peas..

And a pinch of hing..

Add 2 cups of water, grated coconut, bring this to roll and boil..

Take a Cup of Rice flour..

Add the rice flour to the pan, mix them without any clumps..

Mix them well, once the water dries up.. switch off the flame..

And once they well enough to handle, roll them out into equal sized balls..

Flat them, make a hole in the centre.. Like vada shape..

Steam this for 10 mins.. once they done, Allow to cool & serve them..
