My Blogging Workshop Experience

My Blogging Workshop Experience

I’m passionate in learning and exploring new things. I started blogging five years ago and I still feel there are various nuances to learn in this wonderful art, I thought that this workshop will be appropriate for me to improve my network and learn form others.

The Workshop for blogger was arranged by Priya of “Priya Kitchenette”, to share its intricacies, who is a glutton for the event. Priya is a food and travel blogger, now she is an entrepreneur and social media strategist. Personally, I knew her for three years through blogging but never met. A wonderful person who seeks to learn and share more thereby keeping herself busy. She is a potent blogger, her erudition and hard work brings her to this level.

The venue was arranged in Hotel Royal Orchid, Bangalore. From the time I stepped out of the cab , Priya was there to guide my way. Royal Orchid was the hospitality partner, their customised decor for our workshop was pretty. They arranged us a delicious buffet lunch and tea/coffee. The ambience was so pleasant to lead our whole day workshop there.

Priya was the only person who designed the whole day program, she starts with an introduction, which was also an ice breaking moment to interact with other participants. We discussed from the scratch of blogging to marketing the site. Here are the hints which we covered in the workshop session,

  • What is blogging?
  • How to manage content in post?
  • What are the tools to use to build the blog?
  • What is SEO?
  • How to interact the blog with Social media?
  • How to enlighten photography knowledge?
  • How to monetise your blog?

We had a delicious Eggless Cake with rich chocolate ganache during our break, made by one of our participant Divya, who is an excellent baker. Her professional presentation of the cake was much impressed by all the participants.

This workshop was tied up with few brands to engage the participants with few live activities. Tulsi Khemka(co-founder & Spice Curator) from Spice Safari conducted an affiliation program, which helped bloggers to know how to choose and connect with affiliation. Ria from Preethi Kitchen Appliances represented Preethi brand and we had a demo session with Preethi Kitchen appliances. Vaya India is an another brand sponsor for the workshop, they attracted all the participants to get a closer look at their elegant, smart lunch box. I’m looking forward to work these brands too..
