Fish Curry(Yummy Tangy Spicy Dish/Fried coconut fish curry)

Fish curry(yummy Tangy Spicy dish/ Fried Coconut fish curry)it’s an kerala recipe, this taste yummy..  i learned this from my mom.. little tough to try this but once u tried in this way means you’ll not feel toughest part… That much yummy curry…. carefully see the method i’ve given a clear Explanation… Hope you all enjoy….

Fish- 1/2 kg
Tamarind water 1 cup (thick)

For masala:
pearl onion-10
garlic pod- 6

Pepper corns- 1tsp
Jeera -1 tsp
mustard- 1 tsp
methi- 1/2 tsp

coconut grated – 1/2 cup
turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
chillie powder- 1tsp
corinador powder-1tsp
fish curry masala- 1tsp(optional)
curry leaves

For tempering:
Vegetable oil- 3 tsp
mustard- 1 tsp
methi- 1/4 tsp
onion- 2tsp(chopped)
Tomato- 1 ( finely chopped)
Green chillie- 4 (sliced)
curry leaves

Coconut nut oil- 4 tsp


* Start By preparing from masala—> heat the pan add onion & garlic Roast for 5 mins, keep separated, then add pepper corns, jeera, mustard & methi… fry till it splutter, and add some oil to the pan add coconut, turmeric powder, chillie powder, fish curry masala, curry leaves.. fry till brown color..( gravy color vl determined in this step)

* make masala item to cool for few mins & grind finely to a smooth paste

* clean the fish & add tamarind water, salt, & grind-ed masala

* In medium flame bring to boil ( by timing 15 mins)

* for tempering separately heat the pan with oil add all the ingredients one by one … and add to the fish curry

* Now garnish with Coconut oil…

We enjoy this curry with Red Rice, chapatti, Roti, Dosa….

Marinate the fish in Tamarind water and salt
Ingredients for preparing masala, Onion, Garlic, Grated coconut, Jeera, pepper, Methi, Chillie powder, Coriander powder, Turmeric powder, curry leaves

Heat the pan and fry onions and garlic
Keep aside the fried onions and garlic
Fry the pepper, jeera, & methi
Set aside for cool
Heat the pan with oil
Add in the Coconut
Fry till it turns golden brown
Fry the chillie powder, coriander powder, & turmeric powder
Add in the curry leaves
Mix them well
Fry till the color change, make it cool 
Grind to a fine paste with the fried items
Add the masala with marinated fish
Mix them well with salt
Allow to boil
Put in medium flame & cook for 10 mins
Ingredients for tempering
Fry the tempering items
Add to the fish curry
It’s ready
