Paruppu Thogayal/Dhal Chutney

Paruppu thoayal, This spicy dhal chutney is our all time favorite.. usually i prepare this for vegetarian meals…Simple yet lovely combo with Rasam rice… 

This can be store in refrigerator for 6-7 days.. Thuvar dhal and channa dhal roasted with Gralic, Redchillie, Pepper, Hing… grinded this with salt and tamarind.. very quick and easy recipe for running time… Lets see the recipe with step b step instruction..

Paruppu Thogayal

Thuvar dhal/thuvaram Paruppu 1/2 cup
Channa Dhal 1/4 cup
Garlic 2-3 pods
Red chilli 4-5
Pepper 1 tsp
Hing 1/4 tsp
Tamarind 1 inch
Oil 1 tsp
Salt as per taste


    1. Take thoovar dhal, channa dhal, Garlic, Hing, red chillie, pepper in a pan with some oil fry in medium flame till the color change.. have to sautet his for 15 mins in medium-low flame..

   2. Make the mixture to cool grind it with tamarind and salt by drizzle some water..


      • Cook the dhal in low – medium flame, if it done in high flame it may burn easily..
      • Grind the cooled mixture by drizzling some water..
