Kadai Mushroom

Ingredients

 

Mushrrom 200 gms
Onion 1 nos
Tomato 2 nos
Oil 2 tsp
GInger Garlic paste  1 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Salt as needed
Capsicum 1/2 cup chopped
Coriander Leaves 1 spring

 

Roast and grind

 

Red Chillie 4-5 nos
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Jeera 1/2 tsp
Cardamon 1 nos
Cinnamon 1 inch
Cloves 2 nos

 

 Method

 1. Take all the ingredients to roast and grind in a pan, dry roast them in medium flame, make them cool and grind to a fine powder and set aside..

 
2. Wash and clean the mushrooms, chop them into pieces, don’t chop mushroom into small pieces, i did here as bit sized one.. if the mushroom pieces are chopped very small, it ooze lot of water and the taste will differ.. 
 
 
 3. Heat a pan with oil, Fry the mushroom and cook them till they done, no need to add wager, mushroom itself ooze out some water and wait until the water dries up..
 
 
 4. Heat a pan with oi, temper with jeera, Onion, Saute till they turn translucent, Fry the freshly crushed ginger garlic paste and saute them well 
 
 
 5. Add in the Tomato puree, cover and cook it in low-medium flame.. give astir in between.cook till the tomatoes are done.. 
 
  
  6. Once it ooze out the oil, add in the powdered masala and cook, add the capsicum pieces and give a stir.. add the salt too.. 
 
 
 7. Now add in the cooked mushroom and add water if need, and cook it to your desired consistency.. i did a semi gravy here.. add the chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.. 
 

Notes

    • Use freshly grounded masala, ginger garlic paste.. 
    • Adjust the spice in the chilly and the pepper..  
    • if you prefer for a dry dish then add very less amount of water and make it dry..
