Garlic Bread


We all love the Dominos Garlic Bread, I’m the first one to open the Garlic bread, love the pungent Garlicky flavour on it.. more than the Pizza, i would love to munch the Garlic bread, and it was like mystery how they make this much soft delicious bread..

When i was browsing, i saw so many recipes.. after all i got some idea of making my own version of garlic bread.. as i was baking bread’s for the past few weeks.. Final result of the small mission is fantastic.. love to dig this bread in ketchup and to munch with a hot cup of chai, is like awe feel.. Baking is always a fun play, nowadays i enjoy baking lot of bread’s while seeing the golden brown crust over the top of the bun will makes me to feel proud.. Baking is clearly depends on what gadget you are using.. Hope this post will useful for you guys, See you on next post with another easy recipe.. This is my 41st day of 365 days blogging..

Garlic Bread

Prep Time: 6 hours  |  Cook time: 15 mins    |  Temperature: 180C

Ingredients

Maida/APF 2 cups
Yeast 1 tsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Garlic 12-16 pods
Butter 1 tsp
Oregano 1-2 tsp

 

 

Method

Take some warm water in a bowl 
 
Add a teaspoon of sugar
 
 
Followed by the Yeast
 
 
Mix with a spoon and set aside for 10-15 mins
 
 
After 15 minis it should foam up like this, if not your yeast is not proved.. 
 
 
Take flour in wide bowl, add salt and drop the yeast mix.. 
 
 
Knead them to soft dough.. and set aide in a warm place, by drizzling some oil on the top
 
 
Here is the proved dough, it should double in size.. so while you set to prove your dough use a vessel depends to your dough quantity, otherwise dough will overflow.. 
 
 
I punch the dough and divide the dough into two parts 
 
 
One part is ready set to go into the freezer, yes this is the way you can  store the proved dough in the refrigerator
 
 
Take the garlic pods in mixer, my garlic are pretty small, so i used few more for the quantity.. 
 
 
Grind them to a paste.. 
 
 
Add a teaspoon of garlic paste to the dough.. 
 
 
Knead them well, again set this aside in a warm place for 1 hour
 
 
Again the proved dough you can see, so that the pungent smell of garlic will blend well with the dough. 
 
 
Take two teaspoon of garlic paste in a bowl, add in butter, oregano 
 
 
Mix them well, use room temperature butter, don’t melt the butter
 
 
Take a ball of dough, dust them well, as you add garlic paste to the dough it will be sticky, knead well by sprinkling some flour to the dough, and make a even spread, use the rolling pin to spread the dough.. 
 
 
Fold the dough,  I didnt get a good round shape, it’s not a matter
 
 
Line the tray with butter paper by greasing it, sprinkle some oregano in the base.. 
 
 
Place the Dough, leave them aside for 30 mins, they will puff up(Double in size), Use your pizza cutter and put marks as shown in the below picture.. 
 
 
I did two batch of Bread, Below I’m showing you a variation .. 
Spread some shredded cheese inside the dough and fold them into half.. This is for a cheesy version.. 
 
 
Here is my two batches of bread, top them with the butter mix.. 
 
 
Put them into the preheated oven, and bake for 10 mins and cook till the top turns brown in color.. 
 

Notes

    • To get the top crust, bake them in baking mode, and change the option to grill mode and cook for few mins, you can easily get the top brown crust.. 
    • I love the plain version than the cheesy one, plain version is much much comfortable, and very similar to Dominos Garlic bread..
