Wheat Flour Adai


 Wheat Flour Adai, this recipe adopted from my MIL, she had so many healthy recipes in hand.. more than starch she use more Grain and millets in diet.. this adai will be best for breakfast or for tea time too..

Mostly MIL prepare this for tea time snack.. Nowadays Palm sugar and all reduced a lot in normal cooking, but earlier days these are the best part which keeps people healthy, they are strong enough to do the works, but nowadays we forget the traditional method of cooking and food habits and the end was we loss the immune, so this is what happen with our young generation too, so strictly atleast once in a week or twice in a week, i follow up the traditional recipes in home.. other than nonveg, these are the best part of diet, which has some healthy crap to make the body and soul strong, without guilt can relish this sweet adai, this is far far better than cookies we bought in store… also can use a pinch of baking soda to the recipe, i didn’t use it here, Tradition menthe of the kadai will not have any baking soda in it… hope this post is use full for you.. Wheat Flour Adai

Ingredients

Wheat Flour 1 1/2 cup
Palm Sugar/Jaggery 1/2 cup
Banana 2-3 mash nos small
Coconut 1/4 cup
Cardamom/Yeallaki 1-2 nos
Ghee 1/4 cup

 

 Method

Take palm sugar in a Bowl.. can use Jaggery instead of palm sugar.. 
 
Add a cup of water to make syrup, no need of any consistency trouble, just boil it till the palm sugar/Jaggery get dissolved, Add yeallaki/Cardamom along with the water.. 
 
 
Boil them well to dissolve the palm sugar/Jaggery
 
 
Take the flour in a mixing bowl
 
 
Add good ripped banana to the flour and mash them use your hands.. 
 
 
Just mash the banana’s well with out any clubs along with flour.. 
 
 
Strain the Jaggery water  to the mixing bowl.. mix them well, the consistency should in loose
 
 
Add grated coconut to and give them mix. 
 
 
Heat a tawa and use your hand to spread the adai, no need to use any spoon.. but use your hands very carefully, put the flame to low.. and spread the dough in the tawa.. (Dot make a big adai, make them in small size, just to your hand size is more enough, big one might break the shape while flipping.. )
 
 
Drizzle some ghee over the adai
 
 
Flip them carefully and cook in medium low flame till they turn golden color.. 
 
 
Store them in Hot pot, and repeat the same for rest of the dough..
