Prawn Zucchini Creamy Soup

Prawn Zucchini Creamy Soup is not a diet soup, suits perfect for this winter morning breakfast, Love for souping seems never end, we never had a habit of having soups in home, this event made me crazy to try different combination of soups..

This soup made me so happy, usually Joe will not prefer soup, even in hotel he will push soup bowl to me. When i ask him Shall i serve this soup to you he said “its prawn soup know off course share”, and i was the most happy person, then what, happily serve this soup all get over with in few mins.. This is very rich tasted creamy soup. And except butter all the ingredients are common in all pantry, who can avoid a creamy tasty soup when it serves hot on a chill winter morning, yes this is most delicious one, Try and let me know your experience write me to my mail about the variations you did to your soups..

Prawn Zucchini Creamy Soup

Prawn 100 gms
Zucchini 1/2 cup chopped
Carrot 1 nos
Pearl Onion 4-5 nos
Garlic 4-5 pods
Gingely Oil/Olive Oil 2 tsp
Salt to taste
Pepper 2 tsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Vegetable clear Soup/vegtable Stock 1 cup
Butter 2 tsp
Maida/All purpose Flour 2-3 tsp
Milk 1 cup
Coriander Leaves a handful



Chop the Onion and Garlic set aside
Chop the zucchini and carrots
Wash and clean the Prawn, if need you can chop the prawn to small pieces
Heat the pan with gingely oil/Olive oil, Sauté Onion and garlic till the onion runs translucent, Add in the zucchini and carrot pieces..
Just fry this for few mins and add in the cleaned chopped prawns.. cook this for 3-4 mins in medium flame.. 
Add in the vegetable stock or water, with some Jeera(crushed) and 1tsp of pepper powder
Add some chopped coriander leaves to the soup, simmer for 5-8 mins or till the water reduce to half..set the soup aside and next to creamy part.. 
Heat a separate pan with butter
Add int he maida/All purpose flour, fry this for while, and add the milk slowly
give a quick stir to avoid lumps.. 
Add rest of the pepper powder, allow this to boil.. 
 And add the prawn soup to this creamy mix, allow this to boil for a while, check for salt and adjust the taste.. 


    • If you want to skip the creamy texture you avoid the steps after that..
    • Adjust the taste by adding pepper and salt.
    • If you don’t have vegetable stock then add water, no bother on it, actual soup recipes calls for vegetable stock(Vegetable clear soup), avoid if needed
    • Can add vegetables of your choice too..
