Now I’m also in with the millet recipes.. Nowadays Millets and Organic foods are become a regular one along with the normal diet.. Millets these are our ancient and traditional stables, okay Where they gone these day??? Why these millets not known to our generation???
Mechanical world swallow all these good things from nature.. These are the healthy diet for our grand parents.. along with dhal, rice, millets are their main food.. now lot of tv shows, media publishing these healthy millets and most of them are in a hunt for millets, where i can get these millets..Even I was in the list once, I bought some millets from my home town, i heard Organic store had the supply of millets, these millets looks small in size but it took the same amount of water to cook like the normal rice.. Also can substitute the millets with rice in any preparation.. there is no rules and special tips needed to handle the millets, as you know to cook the normal Rice, then you can cook this millets without the second opinion.. I never expected the taste will yumm and its not as much heavy like normal pongal, since millets have less amount of starch, this is lite diet for breakfast and dinner.. Here you go with the easy pongal.. i served this pongal with Idli, Sambar, Tomato chutney and Coconut chutney..

- The same method and procedure suits for all millets like same, Varagu too.
- If you like add a piece of crushed dry ginger..
- The taste is similar to normal arisi pongal, and taste better in hot..
