 Fish Curry Always had a great go with simple plain rice.. Already i posted my way of fish curry, what’s special in tis post?? How does it vary from normal curry? i used Kudam puli for this curry.. and Some mango pieces and drumstick to beat the break..

Kudam puli, this is grown in a small plant, with so many health benefits.. recently i heard this is used as a weight loss ingredients.. I’m not sure how to use it.. but using this in regular cooking might change the life style.. All Loves this Curry and relished well for our Saturday Lunch.. This is my Day11 of B365″

Fish 500gms
Kudam pull 3-4 nos
Salt as needed
Oil 3-4 tsp
Raw Mango 1/2 cup cubed
Drumstick 1 nos
Mustard 1/2 tsp
Onion 2 tsp chopped
Tomato 1 nos
Methi seeds/Venthayam 1 tsp
Green Chillie 2-3 nos
Curry Leaves 2 spring


Ingredients To Roast & Grind

Pearl Onion 100gms/1/2 cup
Garlic 4-5 pods
Pepper 1 tsp
Jeera 1 tsp
Methi seeds 1/2 tsp
Coconut 1/2 cup
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Chilli Powder 1.5 tsp
Coriander Powder 1.5 tsp
Curry Leaves 2 springs




Take the ingredients to roast and grind in a pan, start roasting them, as my pan was small in size i split the ingredients into two shift.. first i roast the onion, garlic, Pepper, Methi seeds and Jeera.. set them aside to cool..

Put some oil in the pan, add Coconut, Chillie powder, Coriader powder, turmeric powder and curry leaves to the pan..

Roast them nicely till the aroma raise..

Make them cool and grind them in the mixer to a fine paste..

Put the kudos pull to 1/2 cup f hot water.. no need to squeeze it, just soak them for 30 mins..

Now clean the fish pieces, Add the kudos pull water along with the kudos pulli..

And the Grounded masala..

Drumstick and Mango Pieces and some sea salt..

Allow this boil, cover and cook this for 10-15 mins in medium flame..

Once they done check for salt.. and check is there any raw fish smell arounds the curry, if so , again boil it for few more mins..

Ingredients to tempering.

Heat a pan with oil, temper mustard, methi seeds, onion, green chillies, Tomatoes and Curry leaves, Saute them for 3-4 mins..

 Dont allow the tomatoes to cook completely.. just the raw small should moves out.. and when the tomato skin get shrinks..

Add the tadka to the curry, give them a mix and serve with hot steamed Rice..

    • Grind the masala to a fine paste. 
    • Dont throw the kudam  pulli, allow the kudam pulli to cook along with the fish.. 
    • Adjust the taste in masala..
