Potato Pulao


Potato pulao, is an easy one pot meal, which show a helping hand in quick meal.. i love the tangy tomato flavour in this rice.. some how very similar to tomato biryani..
I serve this platter with some brinjal fry and raita.. very simple elegant comfort food to pack for lunch box.. it take very less time, no need much side dish for full filled meal.. if you have a eye on gastric of potato, then add more ginger garlic flavour.. and add few teaspoon of curd for more rich taste.. hope this post helps you guys.. see you all in a next interesting easy recipe..

Ingredients
Rice | 1 cup |
Potato | 2 nos |
Oil | 2 tsp |
Jeera | 1/2 tsp |
Fennel Seeds | 1/2 tsp |
Cinnamom | 1″ |
Cardamom | 2 nos |
Cloves | 3 nos |
Onion | 1 large |
Ginger paste | 2 tsp |
Garlic paste | 2 tsp |
Tomato | 2 nos |
Chillie Powder | 3/4 tsp |
Coriander Powder | 1/2 tsp |
Turmeric Powder | 1/4 tsp |
Graham Masala | 1/2 tsp |
Salt | to taste |
Water | 2.5 cups |
Mint Leaves | 2 spring |
Coriander Leaves | 2 spring |
Method
Heat a pressur pan with oil, temper jeera, fennel seeds, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves.

Sate the Onions till they turn translucent..

Add in the crushed garlic..

Add in Ginger paste..

Now add in the chopped tomatoes.. cook the tomatoes till they turn mushy..

And followed by peeled cubed potatoes.. cook the potatoes to the half way..

Add int he Chilly powder, Coriander powder, Graham masala, Turmeric powder, and salt..

Mix them well and cook this for few mins to remove the ra smell of the masala..

Add the soaked rice(Wash & Soak the rice for 10 mins)..

Add the chopped herbs..

And add the water, bring this to boil , over the pan with a lid.

Once he pressure released, Fluff the rice with a forks. all done serve with your favourite side dish..
